Ola! Im here again

Less than a week and its Xmas day! I know i havent updated my blog much. I should be updating more since i have a lot of restdays now, but my restdays are usually spent either sleeping or going out. A lot  happened during my hibernation.

** Pacquiao won the fight with Margarito.

** WikiLeaks has created a lot of chaos over countries.

** North and South Korea  are scaring everyone with its impending war.

** Madam Kwa Geok Choo, wife of Lee Kuan Yew (Singapore’s Prime Minister for 3 decades and now is called Minister Mentor), died. She was certainly loved by people of Singapore.

** Cristine-Rayver-Sarah controversy which started on Twitter, ended with Sarah showing the whole showbiz world how classy she is.

**  Angelica Panganiban-Claudine Barreto twitter war which I really am not that interested.

** A 60-year old man who is  a balikbayan from New York won the Php740-million Grand Lotto Jackpot. Why is luck unfair?! I expected a basurero or a balikbayan from Iraq or Afghanistan to win so that I may be able to accept that my mom did not win. haysst life

** Hubert Webb et. al. acquitted by SC after 15 long yrs. in jail. Now the Philippines are more confused than ever. Did he or did he not? But for sure, all hearts are breaking for Lauro Vizconde who at the age of 72, will be starting the grueling battle again from scratch.

** Philippine issued new banknotes which I havent seen a glimpse of yet. Lazy to google… but I’m wondering if i could still use the 600pesos (that I forgot to convert during my last trip in Phils.) in January.

 ** Philippines Azcals are the new rave of football fans especially girls and gays as they brought pride to the Philippines with outstanding performance, along with their hot bods and handsome face, on the AFF Suzuki Cup! Hail football!  

** Dont Ask, Dont Tell policy of US military has been junked by the Senate. 

** I bought a 40″Samsung Full HD TV from the IT fair which will be a gift to my family and I also received a very nice gift because of that TV..

I know a lot have happened, if I miss posting a major event here…pardon. My memory is failing me again which is nothing new.  

Confirmed!

I am so sleepy but I want to write this post.

I am very thankful today.  :) My manager gave me my employment confirmation earlier. It’s my third month at work and was on Probationary status. I was so worried and paranoid that my probation will get extended (or I wont be confirmed at all) since I personally am not satisfied with my progress. Alhough I really worked my ass off for this job (as in performance level!), I still thought I won’t be confirmed. My boss is a perfectionist and I get depressed if I feel I disappoint him. Everytime I look at him, I feel he has regrets hiring me! I also realized I am so paranoid…haha! This is the very first time I cared much for a job. From the dark days I had with Barcap as well as the aftermath, I feel so so lucky that I found my current job. Its my ideal work and dream job. Anywayz, I was not expecting this confirmation as I feel I didn’t meet my manager’s standards. It was a bit of a surprise as my manager personally handed me my letter and said keep up the good work. This is a happy day for me and I really hope everything will be ok as I start to live my dreams. 

Pacquiao - Margarito Fight!

The Philippines is currently on zero crime rate mode as Manny Pacquiao once again will defend the country’s pride against Antonio Margarito. Since I am in Singapore and currently at work (sigh!) I have to contend myself with online streaming. We dont have starhub at home (which offers free view of the fight in Channel 202 Supersports), so my flatmates also have to panic looking for links online.

Cram mode….

Haven’t posted anything again since I am on my new PC and I havent transfered all of my files. I cant also synch up to itunes since it would erase my files/apps here. Not sure what will happen really if I synched up on my new PC, but most advised me not too. I’ll be coming home to Iloilo this Saturday and I am cramming!I have lots of errands to do that I dont have time to get excited..hehe!Anywayz, I am still trying to get over the 25 kilos excess baggage fee that I have to pay. The amount is higher than the actual fare..whaaa!Anywayz, I bought a cheaper air tickets so the happiness I could give to my fam is priceless. My next trip is January so I get to have 2 months to save..:)

Bored….

We’ll have our last workday for this week tom and I can’t wait for my restday. But before that, I have to drop by Jen and Gel’s flat tom as it’s Budik’s 4th monthly birthday. I already missed the last three so I have to be there tom. It’s good that I dont have work the next day so I can definitely attend Budik’s mini party. 

I have almost 3 weeks till my trip back home and I am already sorting out my pasalubongs. As much as I want to give all out pasalubongs to everyone, I have to be practical this time. It’s about time I need to save!I already learned my lessons so I have to be practical with my expenses. I now have several credit cards and so far so good. I have developed a system and will stick to it. 

Ok I should be sleeping now or else I will regret it again tomorrow. I will update my blog soon once I have all the pics to upload. 

Double celebration at Nando’s

 Me, Jan and Chelly had a double celebration at Nando’s in Bugis. This is  my post beday celebration and Chelly’s treat for finally finding work here in Singapore. We’ve decided to have it in Nando’s. We usually pass by this restaurant and the queue is very long especially on weekends! Well last Saturday, the queue is not that long but still we waited for several minutes. Finally. we had a table  but we waited for half an hour again. We were just ecstatic when the food came!The verdict?The food is worth the wait. We guessed Nando’s is a Portuguese restaurant. We ordered chicken and it reminds me of Iloilo’s lechon manok and Bacolod’s chicken inasal. The chicken is so soft and the sauce compliments it. Me and Chelly split the tab but it still left a big hole on our pockets. lolz!

And now the food…

We’ver heard that Nando’s in JB Malaysia is much much cheaper than SG!Our next plan is to go to JB and we’ll defnitely go to Nando’s again!

Yeah it was my birthday yesterday..

I tried being discreet about it as I usually want to spend my birthday with no major fuss. I tried hiding my birthday in my FB profile but I guess it still shows on notif since one of my friends greeted me a day before…he is just the sweetest!:D Also, chichi posted a greeting on my wall but I thought no one would notice. But then, come the day itself, most of my friends greeted me..Anywayz, I decided to cook spaghetti and mashed potato for my flatmates as I was guilty of not telling them.

Yesterday was spent checking out the IT show.  It was gadgets overload! I almost bought a printer but thankfully I was able to control myself.Proud to say I didn’t buy a single thing but took home a lot of freebies! I’ll be posting the freebies here later.

My birthday was spent quietly with no drama and fuss but it was a very happy birthday! Baby JJ also sang to me  Happy Birthday to my mom’s prodding..She got the words and the tune right!lolz! She really made my day!

Out of hibernation….

I missed my blog!

 I was in hibernation mode for a very long time since my contract with my previous SG employer ended. Our team was not renewed and the reason is ”budget constraints”. We don’t believe this as they are one of the major banks in Europe. Anywayz, it was kinda sad because we were not properly informed we were only hired for a 3-month project. We thought we have at least a yr contract with them.  Our contract is actually under a headhunter, which is very common here on Singapore. The clients or companies pay them to look for talents/candidates like us. Once a candidate is hired by the company, the headhunters facilitate everything. In our case, we were hired in the Philippines so they shouldered our airfare, initial accommodation, and employment pass. We didn’t pay a single cent since the company are the ones paying the headhunters.

Anywayz, it was only on the 2nd month that we started realizing we were only hired for a 3-month project. We started applying for other jobs just in case. On the third month, our agency informed us that we were renewed. They assured us that our renewal is confirmed. But then, after a month of telling us that “good news”, they surprised us by saying, our contract was not actually confirmed. Just imagine our shock and sadness! My previous employer was very famous for sacking any employee just like dat… We’ve heard stories wherein permanent employees will be fired and is escorted out of the office on the same day. We were always on our toes… There was no peace of mind for all of us on that workplace. It was like hell for me.. the high salary they pay us is also worth the stress we have to endure everyday .

Although I lost my work,  I am in a way  relieved that I no longer have to work in that kind of environment. Faced with the uncertainty of finding work in SG again, I just told myself that maybe this is the chance I am waiting for to get out of that place. Dont get me wrong,  I am thankful for the opportunity they gave me as it was my dream to finally be working in SG, but I cant see myself working long for that company. Anywayz, we are just mighty glad they didnt fire us but was a case of end-of-project. We would have had a hard time explaining to job interviews why we only have 4 months experience with that company if we were actually sacked.

The month that ensued our end of contract was very difficult. We were thrown in sudden job hunting mode plus the thought that our pass will be expiring in a month adds to the stress. You see, if our pass expires, you will be given only 30 days to stay in SG (Social Visit pass) which means we are now on Tourist status. I was very much depressed at that time as some interviews I went to were not fruitful.

The moment I have thought of just resigning to my fate and preparing myself to return back to phils after a month, a good opportunity came. Actually there were 2 offers, one with my dream company which is a rival bank (of my previous company). My other offer is with a financial sector. After giving it much thought, I decided to decline offer from my dream company as it is only 6-months renewable contract and I was already traumatized working in a bank. They offered me a higher salary which up to now makes me salivate..lolz! The offered role with my dream company is already a tier 3 role, meaning I would solid work experience in the IT field…this made me think long and hard. On the other hand, the offer with the financial sector is a permanent post and the working environment is more relaxed. Anywayz, I chose the offer of the financial sector due to stability and the compensation  is already ok for me. Sometimes money is not everything..:)

Anywayz, I am happy with my choice as they have great employee benefits and it is a direct and permanent position. I really pray everything will be ok with my current job..:) I really like it here!

This is the reason why I was away for so long…now I hope i could update my blog more often…

To sum it up….

I have a lot of backlogs on this blog of mine… I really do want to blog sometimes but then I was feeling really down to actually do something..hehehe..excuse sa katamaran.

I dont want to write any emo post but just wanna share what happened during my hibernation state.

One of my colleague and friend already gave birth…it was fun seeing her again!Her baby is cute!(pwera buyag)..She calls him Budik2x and sometimes Ming2x Jr. since she calls her bf..Ming2x. She’s one of the funniest person I have met. A very babaeng bakla!hehehe..Anywayz, here are the pics of our visit.

We loved her place. It was a nice HDB..:) I really love interior design and architecture.

Last week, I accompanied Jan to buy a gift for her gf in Phils, since its her birthday. Gosh!I dont mind walking especially if its window shopping but everytime I go with Jan shopping, I cant move my limbs when I arrive home. Susuyurin lahat ng stores just so he could canvass and make up his mind. I have never surrendered on shopping even with my female friends!Ke jan lng ako surrender! Anywayz, we went to high end stores, since he wants to check it out and I think he was curious with LV’s, PRADA, etc. Grabeh!You have to line up for those stores. Gucci has a sale and there were LOTS of people inside…My gosh!Singaporeans are really VERY Rich people!The cheapest bag we found on sale was at least 1000sgd (after discount). And a lot of people are thinking this is a good steal already! I also saw a dress worth 10k sgd(x33=P330000)!We only took pics on the 2nd floor since there were few people there so no one can make sita when we take pics. The ground floor has the sale and it’s teeming with shoppers.

We went to Chanel and saw this watch for 34000 SGD(multiply that to 33 to convert to Peso. The cheapest bag is at least 1000sgd

Lois Vuitton seems like a pangmasa bag in Singapore. Me and Jan were depressed!haha!We realized we were sooOooooo dirt poor!

 Saw these peeps in Cosplay I think, or just having some pictorials along Orchard Road. A lot of professional photogs are photographing them.

 Me and my flatmates had a Bailey’s drinking session last night. It was just a spontaneous event and it was really fun!We ended laughing till wee hours! It’s a bunch of girls, a guy, a big pitcher of bailey’s, our iphones and our laffy’s getting together for  a night (till dawn) of good company and wholesome fun…:)!

Chelly, my former colleague in Transcom is now here on SG. She resigned from HP to take a risk here in SG for work.She arrived earlier in the morning, went to her friends place where she will be staying and met us after 2 hrs since arrival.lolz! She had no sleep the night before..adik lng!Anywayz, I couldnt imagine myself being in her position as she had no sleep,got off from a 3-hr flight and is now on the busy road of Orchard. Plus, Jan is with us so goodluck nlng di ba?!

Finally, I was able to hold and see my Bengks during my short vacation in Iloilo. My baby has grown already and has a mind of her own..:D 

* Baby JJ would have a crying act (she’s not really crying) whenever me or my mom would scold her. Then she would point someone (usually her yaya who is looking at her) saying “Waway..waway” while scratching her head. She is making sumbong kahit nakatingin lng sa kanya. Then, even the slightest touch made to her she would hold that area as if she’s in pain…Napaka drama lng at napaka arte!hahaha!But she’s so lovable. Then the next minute she would resume playing after you make lambing to her.

* Baby JJ loves to sing and dance. although she short cut some words but we can understand her already..lolz..She knows the songs on tv commercials and she knows the dance steps of an ICe cream ad, 3 in 1 plus 1 happy kaarawan..

*Baby loves to sing Twinkle2x little star to her madungis na kalbo baby doll..

* She knows the actions of tv commercials. 

* She would inform everyone if someone is at the gate or if someone is buying ice. She would say Ice.. Ice..hu..Ice… One time some kids went to buy icewater and my mom is not there, she faced the kids and asked for their money as she stood by the ref. She wouldnt open the door of the ref unless the kids give the money..haha!

* She loves to hug and make lambing to you but she also loves making gusnit!:))

* She would fight back if someone tries to bully her.

*Baby JJ loves eating fish. She would know if its chicken or fish or if there’s fish to her meal..:))

* I was surprised one time when she inserted her hand in a milk carton and says boxing..boxing while making cute punches..haha!nagboksing kami!

* She’s a very happy kid, most of the times, she loves teasing you and playing with you. 

* You cant fool her in making things she doesnt want to do

*She knows where to get her shoes/slippers and she knows how to wear them. She also knows how to change her clothes all by herself. I noticed that Baby JJ loves doing things all by herself and I am very proud!

There are a lot of things she do that amazes us. Our neighbors would label her as mal-am as she acts and interacts beyond her age. For me, I really want my baby to live a happy and full life that she may be strong in every challenges she face, knows how to get up when down and basically loving life like it is a big adventure.

Ok…be warned…another emo post coming your way….

As we were elated with the good news we received a month ago, we were actually stunned to suddenly hear a very bad news that rocked our world. It felt like we were stabbed at the back when we least expected it. Now we are on a very unfamiliar place. I tried to gather up every ounce of courage, strength and motivation I have left but it seems the only emotions I have is fear and uncertainty. The very advice and belief I once impart with others seems so difficult to pull up inside of me. I really can’t understand why I feel this way. It seems I am near giving up and doesnt want to put up a fight anymore when this should be the very moment I’ll be fighting my best. Come to think of it, I should be lucky..I still have a greater chance in overcoming this obstacle. Before I would have fought the hardest, never giving up until I reached my goal. I cant understand why I dont have that energy anymore…I am still gripped with fear. Maybe because the very thing I fought for, sacrificed a lot and always a priority has been taken/snatched away from me just like that…on the moment that I least expect it. I have let my guard down. Its like I was in the middle of mad merry-making when a bunch ofGgreeks suddenly leaped out of a trojan horse, making worst nightmare come to life. I dont know why I suddenly lost my courage and my will to overcome fear?! I hope I could regain it before it’s too late.

But still, God works in mysterious ways. When I am about to completely give up, something would remind me to not give in. I only have a pea-size of hope and positivity in me but something makes it grow. I would just be  surprise me that out of nowhere,subtle signs would appear for me not to give up and keep on fighting. I was put into this position which tore down my invincibility, but to the last drop of my blood I will fight for my dreams and I will fight for my family. The only weapons I have now are prayers and faith,

Food Adventure…..

I love food these days..twice the normal. I wanna share wirth you my foodscapades….

 Its Mother’s day and I decided to have a good meal as form of celebration.  I feel blessed and happy to be a Mom to a very lovable na endearing daughter. I decided to go to Lucky Plaza again but dont know where to eat. I then saw Pizza Hut and I instantly craved for pasta.

Well, I like the pizza more than the pasta. Its seafood cheesy garlic I think, orry cant remember the name. But it has mayonnaise in it. Anywayz, meal is ok. I just miss Afrique’s in iloilo.

I am on night shift right now and my lunchbreak is at 2AM. I am the only one in our team who has this lunch break sched so I get to eat alone. One time, I wasn’t able to bring packed lunch to work and restos are mostly by 2AM except for a Hawker’s Center(open-aired foodcourt) and a Kopitiam(airconditioned foodcourt) so I rode a cab since I dont know where they are actually located (but I know they are near our office). Hawker’s and Kopitiam are just across each other but I decided to eat at Hawker’s since I think their food are more authentic. Several stalls were open and I was craving for chicken (as always!). I would say this is one of the best chicken wings I have tasted. Its more than worth of what I paid for. I really enjoyed my meal! I could eat there everyday except that my taxi ride back and forth already costs twice the price of my entire meal!

As you all know, one of my fave blogger is Chuvaness You can check here blog here. I was happy that she went to SG and I think she is still here now. She featured some food she had here in SG. I was very interested with her recommendation 4 Fingers Bonchon Crispy Chicken since it is located in Ion Orchard. I often go to Ion. And so last Wednesday after an early interview, I decided to ignore my hours of hunger and head to Ion orchard to taste the chicken Chuvaness is raving about. There are certain types of hunger in your life and there are kinds of hunger which needs special attention and only deserves to be dealt with the best meals..:D

Oh well, Bonchon chicken is good and a lil bit addicting. What separates it from other chicken wings I think is how they fry it. Its like eating fried chicken and chicken chicharon at the same time. The skin is crunchy and the sauce is kinda salty but very addicting. Bonchon chiken only has a small space but its cozy enough. Anywayz, I will eat at Bonchon Chicken again but it doesnt make me crave for it much. Tatoy’s Lechon Manok and Roberto’s Fried chicken with Fried rice is still my alltime fave!

Earlier, after our Phil. Embassy itenirary, we decided to eat at Bugis since Jan will buy pasalubongs there. I brought him to Uncle’s Kitchen, one of my fave resto in Bugis. We ordered their specialty, Nasi something. Sorry my memory is really poor. It’s one of my fave meal aside from their chicken wings. I love the chicken but i dont dig the spicy sidedish. Its coleslaw with prawns and spicy sauce. Anywayz, the egg, the fried chicken and the Nasi rice (according to jan) are heavenly! Jan said he loved the meal and loved the chicken.

Hmmnn….I look slim here…dont be fooled. promise!

Well, I noticed most food featured here are mostly chicken (fried chicken). They’re my weakness!I am such a chicken girl!

Certified OFW na daw ako??!!!

I am in pure zombie mode right now….

Yesterday after our shift at 7:30AM, me and Lourem went straight to yoga and belly dancing class. Its been a week of no yoga and bellydancing session since we were busy with something at work. We certainly missed it so we decided to join on Saturday. I was not into yoga before but now, our day is not complete if we dont do yoga or belly dancing. Its addicting and major fun! Anywayz, we were able to go home at Noon time and I slept at around 4PM! Major bangag mode. I dont wantt to go to sleep right away since I was supposed to go to Philippine Embassy with my former Transcom colleague to register for OWWA and get our OEC. We have to do this since we have plans to have a trip to Phils. It legitimizes our being OFWs. It would also mean that we dont have to pay for taxes and fees at the airport when we leave Phils. Anywayz, we decided to go to Phil Embassy at 6AM since we were informed that embassy is filled with people on Sundays.

We actually arrived around 7AM. Embassy opens at 9AMThe queue is only about 10 people so I thought stories about long queues were exaggerated.

Come 8AM, thats when people start arriving! Queue is already at the end of the block!We were mighty glad we were there early.

 Once inside the embassy, you have to get a number and wait for it to be called. OWWA registration is on window 4. I was number 4 on the queue and it took almost quarter an hour to finish 5 of us. They started late and registration takes a lot of minutes since many people come to the window for inquiries. After OWWA, you line up again on another window for the OEC/Exit Pass. We have to wait again. I felt like we were in a warzone as windows for OEC is filled with people. Its a total chaos!There’s pushing and shoving as everyone wants to be catered to first. There’s also a lot of confusion and the OEC window who supposed to only accept OEC registration also serves as an information booth for those poor souls who were lost on the next step to undertake. It was also very humid so it definitely feels like a warzone!

Anywayz, glad we were finished by 11AM. Mighty happy it is all finished now.

Happy Loots….

   A lot of backlogs on this blog. Last SUnday, I went out in search of a gym outfit since the only gym outfit I have are pambahay tshirts and the single gym shorts that I had when I was still in college which I just wash everyday. And so, first sports store I know is Nike. One top costs 40+sgd and shorts costs 40-60sgd. I was biting my lip and was thinking ahrd if I should buy those. I dont know any other stores. Puma and Adidas costs somewhat the same also. I was very glad I controlled my self and decided to head to BHG in Bugis to check out the gym outfits. I was ecstatic to see that they are on sale. 2 for 19sgd for some tops and shorts and some, 10sgd. I bought loads since I want to really commit to yoga and belly dancing na! So I still have some left from my budget, so I decided to buy a Charles and Keith wallet that I’ve been pining for weeks already. I also bought these uber cute and comfy Hush Puppies undies which were on sale.

I really love this wallet!

I am really happy that I stuck to my budget…

Well come monday,  I received a very bad news…pero keber nlng ngayon..

Poker faced all day….

I am not in the mood for anything right now. I want to file a sick leave later but I am so tamad to get a medical certificate. This week is an ultimate bad week for me. A lot of bad luck, bad news and unfortunate events struck me and people around me. I really would like to attend yoga and belly dance to shake these depress-depressan mode,but I cant do that as well. Monday I heard a bad news but I was not that affected. It even got me inspired…More like a sigh of relief that maybe this is my way out! My stress level is way up there already. Now, I think everything is finally sinking in. My gutsy self is slowly eaten away by fear. Graahhhh!And I dont like this feeling. Only the start of the fight and I feel frustrated and about to give up already. This is so not me….   But dont worry friends, I am not about to give up. More on emo2x lng but still my conviction to rise above this is strong….:) I cant afford to give up.

I really hope I could overcome all of my fears, anxiety, frustrations. Well, only my closest100x friends know this. To some of my friends who know me well, I think they may have an idea of what Im talking about. To the rest of the world, I’m speaking puzzle-tongue…:D

Anywayz, I just want to stay on emo mode right now. I really want to feel great anxiety since it usually gives me a sense of positivity that good thing will come in the near future. OK masochista much..fine..fine… hayzzz….

Glee na glee sa Belly Dancing…

OK I’m 24hrs awake….I woke up at 11PM yesterday and spent the entire night watching Season 1 of Glee. I am so addicted to this show…I heard of it a lot of times and saw it being featured on tv but was initially not interested. I thought it is a kinda chessy show, but then again I was wrong. Its a blend of everything and it is funny…plus!plus!plus! I totally heart Fin. OMG!He’s like my ideal crush… appearance wise!hehe… I am now a Gleek!lolz!Just joking…:D

Anywayz, the entire week, me and my colleague went to yoga and dance class after shift. The first day I groaned since I really want to go home and rest, I dont want to go anywhere. But then I have to get out of my comfort zone, and so off to pilates and yoga we went. It was really fun!Well, the poses are very hard as my limbs were not has not been stretched since the stone age…I swear I have said a lot of curses in my mind for every pose that I did! Thinking about it now, it was well worth it…The whole experience is relaxing. It felt like I had stepped out of the spa after..haha! My purpose of going to the yoga center is the belly dancing class they offer. Man!It was sooOooo fun!!!Even if I couldnt catch up and I am so awkward, I really enjoyed the class. Our bakla indian instructor is so bongga! I was so amazed with my belly dancing classmates since they really wear belly dancing skirt. Pero pagpasok ng instructor namin…kabog silang lahat!hahahah!pra syang tribal indian belly dancer…And he dances really gracefully!!!!I could just watch him dance the whole day…

Our instructor is the one standing near the sound system. Di ba taray?! Our belly dancing classmates…All of them wore that Belly dancing skirt except us. They look so cute especially when they dance. I want one also but I dont know where to buy it. I know na pala but natatamad pa ako..hehe

The Ease of Learning Another Language

Singapore promotes cultural diversity. The country is a mix of mainly Malay, Chinese, Singaporeans, British, Indians and Asians. Minority are a bit of every race. The first time I was here, I was having slightly a hard time communicating especially with the locals and the chinese. I am glad that our taxi driver was very chatty and would teach us the meaning of some words. I believe being on a foreign country, one could certainly use a Professional Translation Services. It would ease out the levels of communication. It is also interesting to know other languages.

My previous work deals with European sites thus we get to talk to Hungarians, French, Italians, Spanish, etc. Sometimes they send out emails in their own language. We usually ahve to find online translators which could translates the texts in English but sometimes it gives out inaccurate results as onlinr translators translates via words. I believe Professional Translation Services are way much better. Now, I have a friend who will be working on Japan, a friend who is currently learning French and a friedn who will be coming to Germany. I would really recommend Professional Translation Services to them as it will lessen their communication issues with other races.

Its always fun to learn other languages especially if we have the right tools!

Fave shopping place and Passport renewal

  Now, continuing my post about my gala in Orchard as I was interrupted by that unknown celebrity. Here are most stores you will find here especially in Orchard. My gosh, SG is so sosyal talaga and I often wonder why I am here?!I dont belong..haha!

Among the stores, I checked out, I like the Bebe store. Their clothes are just casual which I could wear without feeling uncomfortable or too sosyal ksi di bagay sakin..lolz!Most of their clothes are affordable too.

I just like the view below. I find their kiosk cute.

Here is now Bugis Center which is so cute!They have alleys between malls! I love it here as lots of cute stores lined the alley. Its brethtaking especially when its nearing nighttime.

 I have passed and checked most of the branded and sosyal stores in Ion but nothing beats Bugis Junction for me!This is where my heart is…it reminds me of Divisoria! But soooooo soooo much better!Even better than Greenhills. Most of the items are 10sgd including dresses. And this price is considered very very cheap here! They really have cute clothes and bags. If you buy bulk items, you can get a better deal. I just love haggling especially if I’m in the mood.

OK..bought several dresses and bankrupt mode na ako..sigh! Pero promise na talaga, next sahod magsave na ako..huhuhu!

Ok, I will be coming home in June instead of May. Still depressed about it but feeling better already. At least I have started processing my passport renewal. Here’s my time spent at Philippine Embassy located at Nassim Road.

Me and my flatmate got off Orhard station and rode a cab in Lucky Plaza to the Philippine Embassy. We passed by Embassy of Japan and it is like this big simple White house. It was ok but for me its too simple. I said to my flatmate, “Ano ba yan..so simple lng yung Embassy ng Japan”. Then I saw Philippine Embassy and it seems to me prang tent lng. Pinas na pinas lng including the service! I almost forgot i was in Singapore. Pra lng akong nasa NSO building or sa City Hall. Mas maganda pa pala yung sa Japan..hehe!

We got our number from a ticketing machine. Then we were to fill up a Passport Renewal/Application form. Took our ID picture, photocopy IC and passport, then wait for our number to be called in Window 6.

I had to take my photo twice as my right ear cant be seen. I didnt know you have to show both ears on the pic.I was trying to explain that my left ear was naturally big lng talaga (palong in short) and my other ear is kita naman but not that prominent. Ayaw talaga makinig sakin, pinaulit pic ko. My gawd, its 7sgd a set of four passport size pics above. Sigh! Its a self-service photo booth. Grabeh talaga patong! Yung 7SGD(PhP200+ ) sa pinas naka pictorial ka na with matching makeup!

Anywayz, waiting for my turn. I think I was next here.

Here is the process:

Submit the forms on Window 6. then wait again for your number to be called in Window 1 (for the thumbmark and encoding of the form). I was pestering the lady in Window 1 to prioritize me since I still have work and Im scared I will be late. Anywayz, I left before my number was called since I dont want to risk being late at work. I was next na sana. Anywayz, I went back the next day and I was able to finish everything, although I have to queue again from the start. After window 1, I have to pay 85sgd on Window 9 where he will get all of your documents and a Claim stub.

So now I’ll just have to wait for my passport to arrive here and pick it up.

Ang Boy ko at hardinero….

I cant sleep so I might as well finish my backlogs on this blog. Last Sunday, I really reserved that day for a major gala in Orchard. I often passed Ion mall but I never really explored the place. I never knew its soooo big! Anywayz, I was amazed that most malls here in SG features branded items. You can find 2 LV stores in one mall or they are just at least a store apart. They have Armani, Prada stores just blocks away from each other. Department stores are not that common here. Its really such a shopping capital already fro me so I cant imagine what HK would be like!!! Anywayz, as I was passing by a store, I was surprised with a large number of people waiting outside with their cameras. Of course the curious me also checked whats the fuss all about. I then sensed a major celebrity might be inside. There were extra securities outside the store. I was thinking, could Rain be there, Jay Chou, Vicky Zhou, or better yet, Taiwanese or Korean F4????!!!But then its a small mob size to think that F4 could be inside. At first there were a fairly good number of people outside but when  I looked back after a while, the size doubled!I was tempted to ask a Chinese girl in front of me who is inside the store but I fear she would exclaim “OMG!You’re standing here for quite some time now and you dont who those wereeeee???!!What planet are you from??” and so I just waited to see if I know any celebrities.

I was really trapped in the mob when the celebrity decided to come out of the store. The best thing to do is to take a picture. I really dont know this guy but I was amused by his suave move..He’s like gliding on the floor, kinda maangas na like yeah…I’m famous! But you dont get the suplado air.

Girls went gaga over him after he stepped out the store. Girls were running after him. I said to myself, I might do worst if I saw Jerry Yan or June Pyu stepped out the store…aaahhh!Just the thought of it…

Ok I dont know this celebrity so enough about him, just want to share the experience.

Depressing week….

I spent the entire week processing my passport since I didnt know it would take 6 weeks to process the renewal. I thought it would just take 2-3 weeks since it is just a renewal. I am glad I was able to read pinoysg and found out early on that it would take 4 weeks to process a passport renewal. Now I panicked since my passport has only 4 months validity and they say you cant leave phils on less than 6 months passport validity. I said, 4 weeks is fine since I could still make to Baby JJ’s birthday on May 30. I immediately went to Phil. Embassy the next day to process my passport renewal. It was one of those days wherein I dragged myself out of bed early. No excuses for me to extend my sleep. Glad my flatmate is also filing for an OWWA card so we went to the Embassy together, I dont know the way so it saved me a lot of time. But then, reaching the embassy,  I was devastated to know that current processing time is now 6 weeks!!!! I will miss Baby JJ’s birthday. sob! I tried to verify with the staff there and one staff told me that I can go home since I am on Epass. I’ll just show my Epass and Claim stub confirming that my new passport is already being processed and I will have no problem going back to SG. I tried verifying with the other staff and they told me its the disgression of the Immigration people. So its not guaranteed they will let me return to SG. I was thinking if I will risk it. I called my Mom and she told me not to risk coming home. She told me not to worry as they will be celebrating Baby’s birthday at home and major celebration will be when I come home.

I am already settled with this idea but I am sooo depressed. I want to be there on Baby JJ’s birthday. It really didnt crossed myt mind that I will have issues with my passport. I really overlooked this..sob! Anywayz, I terribly miss Bengks already and I am glad my cuzin keeps sending me her pics. I am very happy when I received new pics from her but this made me miss baby even more…huhuhu! My cuzin would tell me that she’s amazed by Bengks because she’s really the bossing of the children in our place and she can speak words clearly now. She also knows parts of the body. My cuzin also would tell me that Bengks is so expert in making lambing to her grandma when she is being scolded. She would shower my mom with kisses so that my Mom wont get mad. Also sometimes when my mom would really scold her, she would stroke my moms hair and hold her face and say “ waway…waway…” and my Mom is not angry anymore..lolz!But when my dad is there and shes being scolded, she would run to my dad and say “waway..waway!” lolz!I just can imagine bengks doing this. She really knows a lot of tricks even if she was less than a yr old then. She never fails to keep us laugh.

I really can’t imagine my life without my baby. She really brightens my world and gives my life direction. Just a simple story about her would really make my day. Now I want to go home or I want her to come here. Once that passport of mine is processed, I’ll really come home every month!sob!
